Drury Espresso Coffees
Espresso Coffee is our passion and perhaps our greatest field of expertise. We roasted our first espresso in 1954 for supply to coffee houses, restaurants and hotels. Although the way we produce coffee has changed significantly over the years, our aim remains exactly the same as it did all those years ago - to supply our customers with the best tasting and freshest espresso coffee available. All that has changed is that we now use the most modern roasting equipment and packing methods and we now roast a larger range as well - 16 different espresso blends.
We are firm believers in the environmental benefits of supplying coffees roasted in the UK. Roasters worldwide buy from the same points of origin, but importing roasted coffee from a third party country (for example, Italy!) adds considerably to the carbon footprint of coffee supply, in effect a "double-whammy" of transport. Remember as well that on average Drury coffee is delivered only days after roasting, ensuring that you are serving your customers with coffee that's as fresh as it can be.
We have continued our fight and offered our high volume customer the opportunity to buy our espresso coffees in 12Kg Hessian sacks at the same price that we usually sell 10x1Kg. This cuts down on a lot of wastage that affects the trade with packs that cannot be recycled and also has the benefit of giving 2Kg of coffee, Free. We have been amazed that our customers have taken to this type of packaging, and are obviously please to help out with the green issues.
